During the late 16th century, the trading between the Philippines and Mexico was on its peak season, it lasted until the 19th century, this was commonly called the Manila-Acapulco Trade or The Gallon Trade.history_manila_acapulco.jpg

The Gallon  is a cargo ship where in products from the Southern  part of the world are being carried on to the Philippines, to be sold to our natives, examples are the silk, porcelain, precious pearls, cotton and the like. This is the history of the trading industry here in the Philippines. But that was before, because nowadays, traders don’t need to travel from one country to another to be able to sell their products.
